This model is designed for an acoustic sound. It aims to reproduce the rich resonance and upright bass tones from chambered bodies. It's an excellent choice for those pursuing unplugged or smooth jazz music, made fretless allowing players to work their notes around the board more freely.
Sire GB5's body is made up of Mahogany with Solid Spruce top giving the acoustic aesthetic vibes, and connected to a 3-piece Mahogany neck with Rosewood fretboard for easier glide.
It is a more typical preamp for an acoustic bass. It features a Piezo pickup under the saddle, a 3 band EQ (Treble, Middle, Bass), and a phase switch allowing players to adjust the sound to their preference.
It is a C-shape Edgeless™ neck made up of a 3-pc Mahogany with Rosewood fingerboard for maximum playability in fretless variant.
