"INFERNO"

Elegance, simplicity and extremely high quality were the objectives of the LA Custom shop while designing this bold and striking SR6. The bass presents a clean, straightforward aesthetic, as well as a remarkable contrast between the Matte Red finish juxtaposed against the jet-black Ebony fretboard. Another advantage of this “Clean and Simple” theme is that the high-quality woods are able to take center stage and do the speaking for the project. Though the visual impact is immediate and clear, closer examination reveals subtle touches and details such as a thin Flamed Maple layer embedded in both the headstock and truss rod cover. Additionally, the 5pc Flamed Maple / Purpleheart neck, Alder / Flamed Maple body and matching Flamed Maple cavity cover all add additional layers of refinement and sophistication to a captivating artisan creation. The end result is an absolute inferno of figured woods and detailed craftsmanship, both factors which inspired this bass’s fiery moniker.

STRIKE A PERFECT MATCH

The rear control cavity cover is made from the same piece of Flamed Maple that adorns the back of the instrument. The grain pattern is also painstakingly matched between the rear cap and cavity cover so as to create a seamless visual aesthetic. The same Trans Red Burst finish is applied to further enhance the effect.

TRIAL BY FIRE

Thanks to the Flamed Maple Accents incorporated all over this build, the bass is imbued with a certain fiery energy. From the top wood, to the rear body cap, to control the cavity cover and beyond, this bass is the archetype for the flame aesthetic. The neck even exhibits a subtle flame from the top all the way though the body center block.

FLAME TO BLACK

This bass is intended to be thematically straightforward, but that doesn’t mean it’s without its distinctive details. The headstock and truss rod cover both include a thin layer of Flamed Maple. This accent is subtle, but given the darker colors that surround it, it really pops in both instances, adding an understated but enthralling element.
