"OLVERA"

This AZ24 is one of four AZ models in the LA Custom Shop collection, and it truly sets itself apart with its intensely figured Quilted Maple top. This top wood pops with an almost three dimensional aesthetic thanks to its exceptional quality and the masterfully applied 3-tone burst finish complements the wood grain. This AZ model also features an amazingly inviting and comfortable Super All Access neck-thru joint, affording exceptional comfort and complete access to the upper range of the instrument. The instrument presents an inherently vintage vibe, while still delivering plenty of contemporary elements such as a 16” radius, Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbuckers and a dyna-MIX10 switching system. The name “Olvera” actually comes from a street in downtown LA where a lot of the staff from the custom shop like to go for a bite to eat or just to hang out. It’s a name that evokes a lot of good memories for the team and it was a nice personal touch they chose to add to this guitar.

CAREFULLY QUILTED

The exquisitely figured Quilted Maple top is complemented beautifully by the transparent burst finish. The transparency of the finish, along with the burst edges, truly highlights the natural depth and complexity in the grain of this top. The grain ripples and flows across the top of the guitar with an almost 3D-like quality.

THE OPTIMAL IBANEZ NECK-THRU

Unique even among this impressive collection, this instrument is one of only four neck-thru AZ’s currently in existence. The LA Custom Shop believed that by combining a neck-thru design with the already very comfortable Super All Access neck joint, they would create an instrument with unrivaled comfort and higher fret access; they were 100% right!

INHERENTLY VINTAGE VIBES

The Matte 3-tone Burst finish brilliantly ties a vintage appearance to the contemporary, intuitive AZ style. It also features a slightly transparent finish on the back of the body, allowing the neck-thru build style to remain visible and the unique construction of this distinctive AZ to be fully appreciated.
