Spector’s legacy began in a small wood shop in Brooklyn, NY in 1976. Our founder, Stuart Spector, had a conviction to build instruments that emphasized craftsmanship, playability, and heirloom level quality. Over 45 years later, our small team of luthiers carries on this tradition in our USA Custom Shop located just outside of Woodstock, NY. Using only the finest available materials and time-honored techniques, Spector’s USA Custom Shop offers players around the world the opportunity to design the bass of their dreams.
