The USB-eLicenser is a copy protection device which is required by many Steinberg products. With the full versions of the Cubase, Nuendo and WaveLab host applications, the USB-eLicenser is usually included in the product package. For Steinberg VST instruments and many upgrades, the USB-eLicenser is not included and must be purchased separately, unless you already own one. Please check for the "Additional USB-eLicenser required" note after you have selected your product for purchase.
